About This Machine

The Wheel of Fortune pinball machine, designed by Dennis Nordman and released by Stern Pinball in October 2007, brings the long-running TV game show to the playfield with an S.A.M.-board-driven Solid State Electronic design for up to four players. Artwork by Kevin O'Connor and Margaret Hudson features hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White on the backglass, and the game includes original recorded speech from Pat Sajak and announcer Charlie O'Donnell.

The machine's signature toys include a mechanical spinning wheel on the playfield, three animated bobblehead contestants named Lonnie, Maria, and Keith that call out puzzle letters when hit, and a mini dot-matrix display embedded in the playfield to guide gameplay. Players navigate a 3-in-line drop target lane, electronic (digitized) chime pop bumper sounds, and a wide flipper stance with a center bumper, while dual outlane drains require careful bumping and nudging to keep the ball in play.

The cabinet measures 55 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 75 1/2 inches high, weighing about 250 pounds. Between its game-show toys, contestant characters, and authentic Sajak/O'Donnell voice work, Wheel of Fortune offers pinball fans a faithful and playful translation of the classic television format.
