Royal Play

Royal Play is an electro-mechanical, single-player Add-A-Ball machine built as a copy of Gottlieb's 1974 game 'Royal Pair,' manufactured under the name Royal Play. Its Cards/Gambling theme mirrors the Gottlieb original it was based on.

Gameplay features two flippers, three pop bumpers, and an extensive set of 13 stationary targets, giving players a wide array of shooting options across the playfield.

As a documented copy of an established Gottlieb design, Royal Play is a useful example of the practice, common among some smaller manufacturers of the era, of producing close adaptations of popular American machines for regional markets.
