Bagatelle

The Bagatelle is a unique, one-of-a-kind electro-mechanical pinball machine hand-built in 1995 by Dutch craftsman Henk de Jager, who also created its design and art, under the name "One More Time." Only a single unit was ever made. De Jager built the machine to bring to the 1995 Pinball Expo in the United States after winning a prize at the 1994 Expo with his earlier creation, "Crack the Bank" - though in the end, the Bagatelle never made the trip overseas.

This compact one-player machine packs full-sized playfield and cabinet components into a suitcase-sized footprint (the cabinet is just 10 1/2 inches wide), including two flippers, a slingshot, a pop bumper, a kick-out hole, a steel ball, a ball shooter, flipper buttons, score reels, and a coin slot. It also includes a credit unit, tilt, and match features, and can run coin-operated or on free play at 110V.

The object of the game is to shoot the numbers 1 through 9 in sequence; the next number can also be "spotted" by hitting the kick-out hole at the right moment, depending on the position of the score motor. Hitting "9" lights Special for a replay, lights the pop bumper for 100 points, and lights the kick-out hole for 500 points. A full-sized ten-position score reel handles the five-ball count, stepping twice per ball, while a matching reel tracks credits.
