Star Shooter

The Star Shooter, a rare and intriguing gem from Bay-Tek Games, Incorporated of Pulaski, Wisconsin, has piqued the interest of pinball historians and enthusiasts alike. Unfortunately, its exact year of production remains unknown, but this enigmatic machine holds secrets waiting to be unraveled. Not specified in classification or theme, the Star Shooter defies categorization, making it an anomaly in the world of pinball.

What sets the Star Shooter apart from other machines is its peculiar gameplay mechanics. With only seven rollover lanes separated by stationary posts, players navigate through a playfield devoid of moving parts, except for a lone plunger. Each lane guarantees a payout in tickets – 5, 7, 10, 25, or 50 – depending on the specific designation above each lane. The game's unique twist lies in the flashing star feature, which lights up above one or more lanes during play. Successfully navigating through a flashing star lane rewards players with a free "bonus ball," adding an element of unpredictability to the gameplay.

The Star Shooter's understated design and art are perhaps its most intriguing aspects. Measuring approximately 4 1/2 ft high, its cabinet is unassuming, yet it conceals a wealth of interesting mechanics within. Unfortunately, no additional information has been uncovered through web research, leaving many questions unanswered about this elusive machine. Despite the lack of known details, the Star Shooter remains an enigma that continues to captivate pinball enthusiasts and historians, inviting further exploration and study.
