Night Club
About This Machine
Night Club is an extremely rare electro-mechanical pinball machine of which reportedly only a single example was made. According to reports, it was created around 1975 by employees of Bally Continental, the company's European importer and sales center, as a re-theming of Bally's 1968 game 'Dogies.' Only the playfield and backglass were replaced; the light shields were reused from the original machine.
Night Club retains the underlying mechanical layout of 'Dogies,' including two zipper flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and five mushroom bumpers. The playfield also features a left drop lane with a detour gate and a right-side free ball gate, adding strategic depth to the four-player game.
What truly sets Night Club apart is its striking artwork: both the playfield and backglass are filled with bikini-clad dancing girls, giving the game a risque, nightlife-themed makeover far removed from its cowboy-themed original. As a one-of-a-kind novelty conversion reportedly made for fun rather than commercial production, Night Club stands as a curious footnote in Bally's history and a prized find for collectors.
