Sport (спорт)

The Sport pinball machine, manufactured by Soyuzattraktsion of Russia, is a rare electro-mechanical machine photographed in Ukraine in 2005, with Russian-language artwork and text (not Ukrainian). Its exact year of release is unknown, though the Nixie tube score displays resemble those used on French EM games of the 1960s, hinting at a similar era of production.

The Sport supports up to four players and features two flippers, four pop bumpers, and two kick-out holes, along with an upper return gate with a mini-post. Players insert tokens to light their player number, then use side-mounted buttons to control the flippers, trying to keep the ball in play across five balls per game. The scoring display uses Nixie tubes, a technology common in Soviet-era electronics.

As one of relatively few documented Russian-made pinball machines, Sport offers an unusual look at pinball manufacturing behind the Eastern Bloc, distinct from the American and Western European machines that dominate most collections.
