About This Machine

Elvis, designed by Steve Ritchie and released in August 2004 by Stern Pinball, is the first pinball machine ever to carry the Elvis Presley name and likeness. This solid-state electronic (SS) machine, model I-0084, brings the energy of Elvis's live performances to the game room with an authentic soundtrack.

Gameplay is built around three flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and a five-bank drop target, all set against a second-level playfield that adds depth to the layout. A mechanical Elvis figure with shaking hips and gesturing hands moves forward and back in sync with the music, bringing the microphone to his lips whenever he sings a phrase -- the machine's signature toy.

The soundtrack features Elvis singing "See See Rider," "Blue Suede Shoes," "All Shook Up," "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," "Heartbreak Hotel," and "Burning Love," using actual recordings from the famed '68 Comeback television special as well as the 'Aloha from Hawaii' special. The cabinet is a substantial 55 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 75 1/2 inches high, weighing 260 pounds. A limited edition variant, Elvis Gold, was also released the same year. As the first pinball to bear the Elvis name, this machine remains a beloved and sought-after title among music-themed pinball collectors.
