Skyhawk

The 1977 Skyhawk by Fischer, a Division of Questor Manufacturing Company, is a rare and intriguing single-player home pinball machine. As a non-commercial, solid-state home model, Skyhawk reflects the wave of consumer pinball products that emerged as solid-state electronics became standard in the industry during the mid-to-late 1970s.

The gameplay experience offered by Skyhawk is both challenging and unique. Players must navigate the ball through three rollovers at the top of the playfield, each triggering a corresponding light flash. Once this feat is accomplished, shooting the ball into the kick-out hole rewards players with electronic music and a super score. Two pop bumpers were reported on the earlier "Skyhawk" version of the backglass, with a later "Skyhawk II" version adding a third pop bumper and revised cabinet graphics.

Unfortunately, no specific information regarding the design, art, or theme of Skyhawk has been uncovered through research. However, its rarity and relative obscurity, along with the existence of two distinct hardware variants, add to its allure for collectors and historians seeking to uncover new knowledge about this enigmatic home machine.
