Flush
About This Machine
Meet "Flush", a rare electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine from Maquinas Recreativas Sociedad Anonima of Madrid, Spain, trading as Maresa. This four-player machine is a copy of Gottlieb's 1976 'Royal Flush,' and Maresa also produced a single-player version simply called 'Royal Flush.' Its exact year of production is unknown.
The gameplay on "Flush" features two flippers, a single pop bumper, and dual slingshots, allowing players to navigate the machine's 3 standup targets, 3 dip targets, and a 9-bank drop target. The game also boasts a kick-out hole, a right outlane ball return gate, and an end-of-ball bonus feature. Its drop-down cabinet design adds an extra layer of visual interest to the gameplay experience.
Whether "Flush" is a licensed copy or an unlicensed reproduction of the Gottlieb original remains unknown, as with many Maresa games from this period. Nonetheless, for pinball enthusiasts, "Flush" offers an opportunity to examine a card/gambling-themed EM pinball from a lesser-known Spanish manufacturer.
