El Dorado

El Dorado, manufactured by Maquinas Recreativas Sociedad Anonima of Madrid, Spain (trade name Maresa), is a rare electro-mechanical pinball machine believed to be a replica of a Gottlieb machine of the same name. As with several other Maresa titles, it's unclear whether this was a licensed copy or an unauthorized reproduction, a common situation given the restrictions on importing U.S. pinball machines into Spain at the time.

Very little specific information about El Dorado's gameplay, theme, or notable features has surfaced, which is unusual even among Maresa's other games. It is a single-player machine that would have used standard EM mechanics of the period.

Given the scarcity of documentation, El Dorado remains something of a mystery even among pinball historians. Any additional information about its production, release date, or distinguishing features would be valuable for researchers of Spanish pinball manufacturing.
