Mach 2.0 Two
About This Machine
The Mach 2.0 Two is a solid-state electronic pinball machine from Spinball S.A.L., a short-lived manufacturer based in Fuenlabrada, Spain that operated from 1995 to 1996. Designed by Inder before that storied Spanish manufacturer closed, the game carries an aviation theme, though the manufacturer's flyer and manual refer to it simply as 'Mach 2' while the backglass shows 'Mach 2.0 Two'.
The playfield features two aircraft models: a SAAB JAS 39 Gripen fighter and a General Dynamics F-111-A Aardvark fighter-bomber, reflecting its military aviation theme. The game offers a choice of 3 or 5 ball play, letting operators or players adjust the level of challenge.
As one of the last games touched by Inder's design talent before the company's closure, and one of the few machines from Spinball S.A.L., the Mach 2.0 Two is a scarce find that offers collectors a window into the final years of Spain's pinball manufacturing industry.
