Snake Machine
About This Machine
The Snake Machine is a solid-state electronic pinball machine produced by Taito do Brasil, a division of the Japanese arcade game manufacturer Taito. Its exact release date is unknown, and some of its playfield design elements were copied from Stern's 1981 'Viper.' The machine's unbranded backglass is also something of a mystery — it's unclear whether it is an actual backglass or simply a print.
The Snake Machine boasts a solid array of features: three flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, and six standup targets provide a challenging gameplay experience. Three 3-bank drop targets and two spinning targets add complexity, while a single kick-out hole and a left outlane kickback create opportunities for strategic play.
The machine's fantasy theme and design work are notable, though limited information exists about its development or intended audience beyond its place among Taito do Brasil's broader catalog of Brazilian-produced pinball machines.
