About This Machine

Last Supper is an extraordinarily rare electro-mechanical pinball machine - only a single confirmed unit exists. It began life as a Williams' 1968 'Cabaret' before being re-themed around a Religious subject by Rudolf Holleman, who also created its artwork, making it a striking one-of-a-kind conversion rather than a factory original.

As a two-player EM re-theme, its underlying mechanics are those of 'Cabaret,' but the conversion goes well beyond new artwork: two of the original counters and the credit wheel were removed to make room for the custom playfield art, and a bespoke sound system was built from three Walkman cassette players running endless-loop tapes into a single hybrid stereo amplifier, installed where the cashbox would normally be. Two large speakers mounted inside the base cabinet play choir singing, chanting, and dinner background sounds, giving the game an unusually immersive, almost liturgical atmosphere for a pinball machine.

Last Supper's religious theme is essentially unheard of in pinball, and combined with its one-of-a-kind status and custom audio setup, it stands as one of the more unusual and historically curious re-themed machines documented by collectors.
