About This Machine

Fire Action De Luxe was manufactured in 1983 by Taito do Brasil, the Brazilian division of Japan's Taito Corporation. Rather than an original design, the game borrows heavily from Williams: its playfield layout is taken from Williams' 1983 'Firepower II,' while its playfield artwork comes from Williams' earlier 1980 hit 'Firepower.'

The game features an outer-space theme and a solid feature set for the era, including two flippers, four pop bumpers, two slingshots, ten standup targets, a kick-out hole, a spinning target, a ramp, and a 2-ball multiball mode. This combination gives players a variety of shots and a genuine multiball experience uncommon in many games of the period.

As a Brazilian-made pinball machine built on a mashup of two well-known Williams designs, Fire Action De Luxe is an interesting curiosity for collectors interested in South American pinball manufacturing and the design-borrowing common among smaller manufacturers of the early 1980s.
