About This Machine

Cybernaut, produced by Bally Wulff of Germany from 1986 to 1987, is a licensed version of Bally Midway's 1985 US machine of the same name, made in Germany under license from Bally Midway. Designed by Greg Kmiec with art by Doug Watson, it brought Bally Midway's solid-state design to the European market.

One of the standout aspects of the Cybernaut is its layout, which boasts three flippers, a pop bumper, four drop targets, and a kick-out hole. The upper right playfield ramp is particularly noteworthy, featuring three challenging targets that require precision and skill to reach. Additionally, the left ramp sends the ball through an elevated tube to the right-side lane, adding an extra layer of difficulty and excitement to the gameplay experience.

No specific theme is documented for this machine, and details of its design or story remain scarce. Despite this lack of context, the Cybernaut remains an intriguing example of mid-1980s solid-state design and Bally Wulff's role in bringing American pinball designs to German players.
