About This Machine

Wizard Blocks is a magic-themed pinball machine designed by Pat Lawlor for Williams, intended for release in November 1999 on the Williams Pinball 2000 platform. It never reached production: the game was still in the prototype stage when Williams halted all pinball manufacturing, and it was officially listed as never produced.

Despite never shipping, Wizard Blocks had an assembled design team, including dot animation work by Alan Cruz, Adam Rhine, Dave Mueller, and Jack Liddon; mechanics by John Krutsch, Chris Shipman, and Brad Cornell; music and sound by Rob Berry; and software by Louis Koziarz, Graham West, and Duncan Brown.

As one of the final projects developed before Williams exited the pinball business, Wizard Blocks stands as a glimpse of what might have been for the Pinball 2000 line. Rights to the game are reported to now be held by Planetary Pinball, with "Wizard Blocks" remaining an active trademark of that company.
