Riviera

Riviera, manufactured by Alben of France in 1958, is an electro-mechanical pinball machine and a conversion of Gottlieb's 1958 title 'Picnic,' reworked with a water sports and boating theme emphasizing a lighthearted, happy tone.

Gameplay features two flippers, four pop bumpers, and roto-targets, providing players with the interactive elements typical of late-1950s EM pinball design carried over from its Gottlieb source game.

While specific design and art details for the Alben conversion are not well documented, Riviera remains an interesting example of how European manufacturers of the era licensed or reworked American Gottlieb playfields — such as this one — for their own markets.
