About This Machine

Monster Bash is a standout title from July 1998 that showcases the innovative spirit of Williams Electronics Games. Featuring a horror-themed licensed design built around classic movie monsters, Monster Bash brings together figurines of Frankenstein, the Mummy and sarcophagus, the Bride of Frankenstein, a mad professor, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula in his coffin, and an ogre with a ball and chain. Designed by George Gomez with artwork by Kevin O'Connor, this machine boasts an impressive array of features that set it apart from other games of its time.

Gameplay revolves around the "Phantom Flip" feature, where hitting specific targets activates a game-controlled flipper action, flipping the ball back to the player's advantage. The presence of three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and eight standup targets adds an extra layer of challenge and strategy to the gameplay experience. An autoplunger is also present, providing an additional way for players to manage their shots.

The machine's design and art are a testament to its horror theme, with Frankenstein pivoting on an operating table and Dracula moving back and forth across the playfield. With 3,361 units confirmed produced, Monster Bash remains one of the most fondly remembered Williams titles of the late WPC era.
