Play Time

Play Time, manufactured by Dama S.R.L. of Milan, Italy in 1970, is an early example of electro-mechanical (EM) pinball design from Italy. It is a conversion kit of the Italian version of Gottlieb's 1966 'Ice Show,' and carries a soccer (futbol) theme.

Play Time's gameplay features a traditional EM layout with flippers and bumpers guiding the ball through various targets, typical of games of its era. The soccer theme sets it apart from many of its EM contemporaries, which more commonly used gambling, travel, or generic sports motifs.

Little is known about this machine beyond its basic specifications and its status as a conversion kit. As one of Dama's Italian-produced titles from 1970, Play Time offers a glimpse into the early days of Italian pinball production and the practice of adapting existing American designs for new markets.
