Devil's
About This Machine
Devil, released by Dama S.R.L. of Milan, Italy in 1970, is a conversion kit for Bally's 1967 'Rocket III,' re-themed around parachuting and skydiving. The game's apostrophe-bearing name is presumably an abbreviation referencing the four skydiving daredevils depicted in its artwork.
Only the backglass of Devil has been documented to date. It shares design elements with its Rocket III source, including five score reel windows in the upper right area and a colored "Ball In Play" strip along the left edge, but appears to lack a replay window.
Because no playfield or full cabinet has been documented, Devil's actual gameplay features remain unconfirmed. It stands as a rare and little-understood example of Dama S.R.L.'s practice of converting existing Bally and Gottlieb machines with new themes for the Italian market.
