Torpedo!!

Torpedo!! is a rare and enigmatic gem from the lesser-known Spanish manufacturer Procedimientos Electromagnéticos de Tanteo y Color (PETACO), operating under the Trade Name Petaco, S.A. from 1962 to 1977. As an electro-mechanical pinball machine produced in 1976, Torpedo!! is a single-player game with a combat/adventure theme; the same company also produced an export version of the game under Recel's name.

In terms of gameplay, Torpedo!! boasts two flippers and a variety of challenging mechanisms, including a pop bumper, two slingshots, two standup targets, a vari-target, a kick-out hole, and a spinning target. The upper right ball return roll-under and an end-of-ball bonus round out the scoring opportunities, while the wedge-head cabinet gives it a distinctive look.

Notably, Torpedo!!'s sparse documentation and lack of information in online archives make it a mystery waiting to be unraveled by pinball enthusiasts. While little is known about its designer or specific design influences, this machine remains an intriguing example of Spanish pinball craftsmanship from the mid-1970s.
