Ticket Tac Toe
About This Machine
Ticket Tac Toe, conceived and designed by Steve Kordek and released by Williams in March 1996, is a distinctive redemption game built on WPC-95 hardware — in fact, it holds the notable distinction of being the only redemption game ever made on WPC hardware. Aimed at a children's-games theme, it marked a departure from Williams' typical licensed and adventure themes of the era.
Gameplay on Ticket Tac Toe centers on a tic-tac-toe-style playfield with two flippers and nine gobble holes, likely arranged to support the tic-tac-toe conceit. The upper playfield is elevated and features a wider ramp, adding a distinct layout element to this compact, single-player redemption cabinet. With only 123 units confirmed produced, it is a scarce piece of Williams' output from the mid-1990s.
Art for the machine was handled by Doug Watson, with sound and music by Kurt Goebel and software by Cameron Silver. While detailed historical documentation on the game's reception is limited, its status as the sole WPC-based redemption title makes it a notable curiosity for collectors of Williams pinball.
