About This Machine

Take A Card, manufactured in 1979 by Mondialmatic of Florence, Italy, is a single-player electro-mechanical conversion kit with a playing-cards theme, featuring artwork by Michele 'Mike' Martinelli. It was designed as a conversion kit for Gottlieb's 1972 'Texas Ranger.'

Gameplay includes two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, ten drop targets, a right outlane ball-return gate, and parallel lanes of serial rollovers on the right side of the playfield, along with an end-of-ball bonus. The machine uses six score reels and a wedge head cabinet.

Rather than an original design, Take A Card is a re-themed conversion of an existing Gottlieb game, reflecting how Mondialmatic and similar manufacturers repurposed American EM hardware for the European market in the late 1970s.
