Sisters
About This Machine
Sisters, manufactured in 1979 by Mondialmatic of Florence, Italy, is a single-player electro-mechanical add-a-ball conversion kit with a women-themed design, with artwork by Michele 'Mike' Martinelli. The game is a conversion of Gottlieb's 1974 'Royal Pair,' though its playfield layout more closely resembles that of Gottlieb's 1977 replay game 'Golden Arrow.' Its backglass and playfield art were adapted from Gottlieb's 1979 'Charlie's Angels.'
Gameplay features two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and nine standup targets, offering a classic EM layout built for the conversion-kit market.
As a repurposed Gottlieb design rather than an original creation, Sisters illustrates how smaller European operators like Mondialmatic extended the life of American pinball hardware by installing new playfields, art, and themes onto existing cabinets.
