About This Machine

Cherokee, manufactured in 1978 by Interflip S.A. of Spain, is an electro-mechanical four-player machine with an American West theme. Interflip was the export trade name used by the same company that produced a domestic version of the game as Recreativos Franco's 1976 'Cherokee.'

Gameplay features two flippers, two pop bumpers, and three kick-out holes, with support for both 3-ball and 5-ball play. Its match feature is calculated from the last three digits of the score, a variation on the standard match mechanic of the era.

Little further information is available about the machine's designer or artwork, but Cherokee is a notable example of Spain's electro-mechanical pinball production in the late 1970s, distributed in both domestic and export versions.
