Space Wars

Space Wars is a 1985 solid-state conversion kit built on the cabinet of Bally's 1977 "Eight Ball." Its manufacturer is unconfirmed: it was once credited to Geiger-Automatenbau, but Geiger has stated he did not produce it.

By 1985, solid-state technology had long been the industry standard, so Space Wars represents a late-era conversion kit rather than an early example of the technology. As with many such kits, detailed information about its specific gameplay, theme, and artwork has not survived.

The mystery surrounding its true manufacturer and the scarcity of documentation make Space Wars an intriguing but little-understood entry in the conversion-kit corner of pinball history.
