About This Machine

Lady Death is a 1983 solid-state conversion kit from Germany's Geiger-Automatenbau GmbH, built on the cabinet of Bally's 1978 "Mata Hari." Its artwork was created by Michele "Mike" Martinelli, who produced the art for all of Geiger's conversion kits, and only 150 units were made.

The playfield offers a compact ruleset typical of a conversion kit: two flippers, four pop bumpers, two sets of 4-bank drop targets, and a kick-out hole, finished off with distinctive red plastic flippers. Its vampire-themed fantasy artwork fits Geiger's pattern of reskinning older Bally tables with new horror and fantasy motifs.

As with most of Geiger's conversion kits, little further documentation of Lady Death's reception or popularity survives, but its low production run and distinctive artwork make it a notable curiosity for collectors of European conversion machines.
