About This Machine

Miss World, released in 1982 by Germany's Geiger-Automatenbau GmbH, is a solid-state conversion kit built on the cabinet of Bally's 1979 hit "KISS." Only 150 units were produced, making it a scarce find today.

Its artwork was created by Michele "Mike" Martinelli, who produced the art for all of Geiger's conversion kits, and the game carries a fantasy theme. Curiously, two distinct versions of the playfield plastics and playfield inserts (one translucent, one transparent) are documented for this title -- even Geiger's own staff and the manufacturer himself could not fully explain why two versions existed, though he confirmed both were genuine.

As with many of Geiger's small-run European conversion kits, detailed gameplay information beyond these production notes has not survived. Its low production number and documented plastics variations make Miss World a notable curiosity for collectors of early-1980s conversion machines.
