Aqualand
About This Machine
The Aqualand, produced by Juegos Populares, S.A. of Madrid, Spain in 1986, is a solid-state electronic pinball machine with an Amusement Park - Water theme. A distinctive gameplay mechanism sees the left outlane fitted with a gate that, when activated, temporarily converts it into an inlane, returning the ball to the flipper rather than draining it - a clever wrinkle that rewards players who trigger it.
The machine's feature set includes two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, a 3-bank of drop targets, a standup target, a vari-target, a kick-out hole, and a roll-under spinner, all working together to create a lively, fast-moving playfield in keeping with its watery amusement-park theme.
As one of the lesser-known machines from Juegos Populares, Aqualand remains a relatively obscure find among collectors and enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into the Spanish pinball scene of the mid-1980s.
