About This Machine

Peacherino was manufactured by Glickman Industries of Philadelphia, with the earliest known reference dating to June 1942 — making it one of several wartime conversion games the company released that year, rather than its first. It was a converted game based on Chicago Coin's 1940 'Jolly', following Glickman's pattern of supplying operators with a new backglass and bumpers, and later selling the conversion as a kit.

As a flipperless, single-player electro-mechanical machine, Peacherino offered the simple, bumper-and-rollover-driven gameplay typical of its time, predating the introduction of flippers to pinball by several years.

Little is known about Peacherino's specific design, art, or theme. Like many of Glickman's wartime conversions, its scarcity today makes it a notable find for collectors of early electro-mechanical pinball.
