About This Machine

Lucky Seven is a scarce electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine from November 1977, designed by Chris Otis at Williams Electronics, with only 67 units confirmed produced. By this point Williams was primarily a solid-state manufacturer, making this low-volume EM gambling-themed release something of an outlier for the company; a four-player solid-state version was also released the following year.

The gameplay features two flippers, two pop bumpers, and two slingshots that add excitement to the experience. Standup targets and drop targets create challenging shot combinations, while the spinning target introduces an element of unpredictability. The playfield also hosts a unique animation: slot machine reels embedded beneath the playfield, which adds to the game's gambling theme. A maximum score of 999,990 points per player is displayed on the scoreboard.

Design-wise, Lucky Seven retains its original charm with a vintage aesthetic that pays homage to classic electromechanical pinball machines. The cabinet and backglass art, by Christian Marche, depict the game's lucky-sevens gambling theme. The combination of traditional mechanics and unique features makes Lucky Seven an attractive, hard-to-find addition for any serious pinball collector.
