Spring Time
About This Machine
Spring Time was designed by D. Gottlieb & Company in February 1950 as machine model #31, but according to IPDB records it was ultimately never produced. As such, it exists only as a planning-stage design from Gottlieb during a highly active period for the company in the early post-war pinball boom.
Because the game never reached production, little is known about its specific gameplay features, artwork, or theme. Like other Gottlieb single-player electro-mechanical games of the era, it would likely have used standard flipper, bumper, and scoring mechanisms typical of 1950.
Spring Time is chiefly of interest to historians and collectors as a record of a Gottlieb design that was planned but abandoned before it ever reached location floors, illustrating that not every model developed by a manufacturer made it to market.
