Lucky Man
About This Machine
Lucky Man, manufactured by Nordamatic of Verona, Italy in 1976, is a rare electro-mechanical pinball machine built around a Gambling theme. A one-player version of the same game was released by Nordamatic as 'Monte Carlo,' and Lucky Man's backglass reportedly resembles Bally's 1973 'Odds & Evens.'
The two-player machine features three flippers, a single pop bumper, a 5-bank drop target, and ten standup targets, along with left and right dual inlanes that add variety to shot selection. This combination of targets and lanes gives players a range of scoring opportunities typical of mid-1970s EM design.
No designer credit has been documented for Lucky Man, leaving some mystery around its creation. Its gambling theme, shared lineage with Monte Carlo, and Bally-inspired backglass make it an interesting example of Italian EM manufacturing in the mid-1970s, and its rarity today makes it a notable find for collectors.
