Quintuplet
About This Machine
The Quintuplet, manufactured by Pacific Amusement Manufacturing Company (PAMCO) of Chicago in June 1935, is a rare survivor from the early days of electro-mechanical pinball. PAMCO, which traded under the PAMCO name and operated from 1932 to 1937, was one of a handful of manufacturers active in the formative years of coin-operated pinball.
Detailed information about the Quintuplet's specific gameplay features and mechanics has not survived, which is common for machines from this period. What is clear is that it represents the single-player, electro-mechanical format typical of mid-1930s pinball.
As a product of a lesser-known and short-lived manufacturer, the Quintuplet is a scarce find today, of interest primarily to collectors and historians researching the earliest chapters of the pinball industry.
