About This Machine

Multiple Flying High, manufactured by Western Equipment & Supply Company in July 1936, is an electro-mechanical (EM) single-player machine with a hunting-themed playfield built around shooting at pigeons. According to the book Pinball 1, it is essentially the same game as Western Equipment's 1936 Flying High, but fitted with a much larger seven-coin slide that let players select up to all seven playfield pigeons as play objectives.

As a mid-1930s EM game, Multiple Flying High predates the invention of the flipper by more than a decade; gameplay would have relied on plunger shots, tilting, and passive targets rather than player-controlled flippers to hit the pigeon targets and rack up score.

Detailed records of its specific rules and production numbers have not survived, which is typical for many EM machines of this period from smaller manufacturers. Its distinctive expanded coin-slide mechanism and its direct relationship to Flying High make it an interesting variant for collectors researching Western Equipment & Supply Company's mid-1930s output.
