About This Machine

The Nautilus, released by Zaccaria in February 1977, is a single-player electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine with a hard hat/scuba diving theme, featuring artwork by Lorenzo Rimondini.

The game offers two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, an 8-bank of drop targets, two standup targets, a kick-out hole, a spinning target, and an upper right kicker lane, along with an end-of-ball bonus. Nautilus is convertible between 3-ball and 5-ball play, and can also be converted to add-a-ball operation, giving operators flexibility to match local regulations and preferences.

The backglass displays the words "Bonus Ball" silkscreened to light from behind, tying into the game's bonus mechanic. As a product of Zaccaria's mid-1970s output, Nautilus reflects the underwater/diving theming and Rimondini's artistic contributions that characterized several of the company's EM-era titles.
