Pool Champion

Pool Champion, produced by Zaccaria of Bologna, Italy in December 1985, is a solid-state electronic pinball with a billiards theme, running on Zaccaria's second-generation MPU hardware (1B1165/2 MPU, five 8-digit display boards, a sound board, driver board, and power supply board).

Billiards-themed pinball machines are relatively uncommon, making Pool Champion a notable entry in Zaccaria's mid-1980s solid-state lineup, a period when the Italian manufacturer was producing increasingly sophisticated electronic games.

Specific details about Pool Champion's designer, playfield layout, and notable features are not well documented, leaving much of its design story to be pieced together by collectors and historians. Its distinctive theme and Zaccaria pedigree nonetheless make it a point of interest for fans of Italian pinball manufacturing from this era.
