Space Team

Space Team, manufactured by Tecnoplay of San Marino, Italy in 1988, is a solid-state electronic pinball machine supporting up to six players. As a lesser-known release from a smaller Italian manufacturer, it offers an interesting look at pinball production outside the major American and larger European makers during the late 1980s.

The game features two flippers and two pop bumpers, along with a four-ball multiball mode that let players juggle multiple balls simultaneously — a feature that added excitement and was becoming more common in pinball design by the late 1980s.

Limited information is available on Space Team's design, art, or theme, and the specific designer remains unknown. Even so, its rarity and Tecnoplay's relatively small footprint in the pinball market make it a notable curiosity for collectors of European solid-state machines.
