Lucky 7
About This Machine
The Lucky 7, designed by Don Hooker for Bally Manufacturing Corporation (Model 893-1), is a bingo-style electro-mechanical pinball machine.
Bally's internal records show Model 893-1 received a release-to-production date of June 29, 1970, as a bingo machine, sharing the same release date and wiring part number as Model 893, which was produced as Bally's 1970 'Super-7.' This has led researchers to suspect that Lucky 7 may have simply been an export name change for the same underlying game rather than a distinct model.
As a bingo-style machine rather than a standard flipper game, Lucky 7's play would have centered on landing balls in numbered holes to complete winning combinations, in keeping with Bally's bingo lineup of the period. Further documentation on its specific features has not survived.
