Future Queen
About This Machine
The Nuova Bell Games' Future Queen, manufactured in 1987, holds a unique spot in the solid state electronic era of pinball history. As one of the products of Nuova Bell Games, a manufacturer from Bologna, Italy, Future Queen was produced during the company's relatively short run from 1985 to 1988, with artwork by Adriano Nardi.
Specific details about Future Queen's gameplay layout are not well documented, but as a four-player solid-state machine it would have featured the electronic scoring and lighting typical of late-1980s pinball. Some surviving examples of the game show a backglass variant with a horizontal black sign reading "PINBALL ADVENTURE" at the bottom, which may point to an unconfirmed conversion kit for the game, though this has not been verified.
As with many lesser-known machines from smaller manufacturers, information about Future Queen's precise features and reception is scarce. Its existence serves as a reminder of the diversity of pinball production during the solid-state era, including from manufacturers outside the major American and European players.
