Double-Up
About This Machine
The Double-Up pinball machine is a rare, single-player electro-mechanical game produced by Bally Manufacturing Corporation, model number 904, designed by Ted Zale with artwork by Christian Marche. Only 55 units are confirmed to have been produced, making it one of the scarcer entries in Bally's catalog and a coveted find for collectors.
Gameplay features two flippers, four pop bumpers, two mushroom bumpers, and two slingshots, giving players a range of ways to control the ball's trajectory. Two kick-out holes and two rollover buttons add extra layers of challenge, while a standup target rewards precise aiming. The game supported 3 or 5-ball play, with a maximum displayed score of 99,990 points and a replay wheel maxing out at 25.
The Motorcycles theme runs through the game's artwork, immersing players in a two-wheeled racing motif. With its low confirmed production run and distinctive theme, Double-Up remains an intriguing, hard-to-find piece of Bally's early history for collectors and historians alike.
