About This Machine

No Fear: Dangerous Sports is a 1995 release from Williams Electronics Games, licensed from the extreme-sports apparel brand No Fear. This solid-state electronic machine, conceived and designed by Steve Ritchie along with Greg Freres, Matt Coriale, and Dwight Sullivan, was Ritchie's last game designed for Williams and the first he completed fully in CAD.

The gameplay experience is exhilarating, thanks to its three flippers, two ramps, automatic plunger, kickback, and unlimited buy-in ball option for operators, plus a magnetic ball accelerator and a talking skull toy. Players can enjoy four distinct multiball modes: regular multiball, "Over the Edge," "No Limits," and "Fear Fest," culminating in the 4-ball wizard mode "Meet Your Maker."

Visually, No Fear: Dangerous Sports boasts an attention-grabbing theme that captures the essence of extreme sports, with artwork by Greg Freres reflecting the era's edgy, bold aesthetic. The talking skull's voice and script were written and performed by Ritchie and Freres themselves. As a distinctive, mechanically rich machine, No Fear: Dangerous Sports remains a sought-after title among collectors and enthusiasts today.
