About This Machine

The Yukon, designed by Norm Clark and released on August 23, 1971 by Williams Electronics, is an Add-A-Ball EM pinball machine with a Canadian West theme illustrated by Christian Marche. It is model 403A, and its replay-version counterpart is Williams' 1971 game "Klondike."

Players control two flippers to navigate the ball through a playfield featuring five pop bumpers and three kick-out holes, along with three slot machine-style reels near the top of the playfield. The reels award up to three additional balls for winning combinations, adding an element of chance-based bonus play typical of Add-A-Ball games from the period.

Manufacturer records list 730 confirmed units produced, with distributor pricing of $440. The Canadian West theme, rendered with hand-drawn illustrations typical of early-1970s EM machines, gives Yukon a distinct visual identity among Williams' output of the era.
