About This Machine

Big Show is an electro-mechanical bingo machine designed by Don Hooker and manufactured by Bally. Unlike a conventional pinball game, it is a single-player bingo machine on which players shoot balls into a field of 25 trap holes, aiming to line up numbers on a bingo-style card displayed in the backglass.

The machine features Bally's Magic Squares: if the corresponding features are purchased through play, the player can press buttons to rearrange the numbers on the backglass card before shooting the fourth or fifth ball, adding a genuine layer of strategy. It also includes the Bally Hole, and it was the first game with triple-deck scores (red, yellow, green), a notable advancement in bingo-machine scoring.

With its music and pageantry theme, Big Show is a characteristic example of Bally's bingo line and remains of interest to collectors of these distinctive machines.
