Twin Win
About This Machine
The Twin Win, designed by Jim Patla with artwork by Dave Christensen, was manufactured by Bally in February 1974. It's a two-player electro-mechanical machine built around a Sports/Auto Racing theme, one of 1,570 confirmed units produced.
The Twin Win's gameplay is characterized by its four flippers and busy layout of mechanisms: two pop bumpers, four mushroom bumpers, two slingshots, fourteen standup targets, two kick-out holes, and a spinning disc. The machine also features an unusual ball launch system — pressing a button in place of the traditional ball shooter kicks the ball into play from between the flippers toward the spinning disc, creating a distinctive start to each game.
The backglass depicts a woman wearing a hat button reading "Sharon," likely a nod to the long-running Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, tying into the auto racing theme. With its dense mix of EM gameplay mechanics, the Twin Win is an appealing machine for collectors interested in mid-1970s Bally design.
