Twin-Gain
About This Machine
The Twin-Gain, manufactured by Recel S.A. of Madrid, Spain, in 1977, is an electro-mechanical pinball machine with a gambling/slot-machine theme. Recel was the export brand name used by the manufacturer; the same company also produced a domestic version under the Petaco name, also called 'Twin-Gain,' in the same year.
The machine features two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, two vari-targets (referred to as 'drop targets' in the original flyer), and one standup target, along with an end-of-ball bonus. It has a wedge-head cabinet, and the backglass depicts a replay window.
While limited information is available about the machine's designer, the Twin-Gain's slot-machine theme sets it apart within the world of vintage European pinball, offering a distinct connection to classic casino gambling imagery.
