Turf Kings

Turf Kings, manufactured by Coast Coin Machine Company of Sea Girt, New Jersey, in August 1937, is an early electro-mechanical (EM) one-player pinball machine with a horse racing theme. Its EM construction reflects the era's use of relays, switches, and mechanical components to create gameplay, a period when pinball design was still rapidly evolving.

Detailed information about Turf Kings' specific gameplay mechanics, designer, and notable features has not survived. What is known is its manufacturer, era, and horse-racing theme, consistent with the wave of racing-themed payout and pinball machines popular in the mid-1930s.

As a product of a short-lived manufacturer (Coast Coin Machine Company), Turf Kings remains a scarce artifact of pinball's early days, of interest to collectors and historians researching lesser-known manufacturers of the era.
