Travel Time
About This Machine
Travel Time was manufactured by Segasa of Spain in 1973. It's a single-player electro-mechanical machine that is, per its backglass, licensed directly from Williams Electronics - it's essentially the same game as Williams' 1972 title of the same name, built for the Spanish and European market.
Gameplay matches its Williams counterpart: two flippers, three pop bumpers, ten standup targets, a kick-out hole, and a ball kicker between the flippers. Length of play is controlled by a playfield clock, with selected targets adding extra time to extend the game.
As a licensed European production of an American design, this Segasa Travel Time illustrates how US pinball manufacturers licensed their titles for manufacture abroad in the early 1970s, giving European players access to contemporary American pinball designs.
