Deluxe Super Slugger

The Deluxe Super Slugger, manufactured by United Manufacturing Company in 1955, is a baseball-themed electromechanical (EM) 'bat game' with mechanical backbox animation. This EM pinball features three unpainted metal ramps, allowing players to propel the ball airborne towards the bleachers for scoring.

The Deluxe Super Slugger's gameplay is unique in its simplicity and challenge. With only 3 outs per player, each match becomes a high-stakes battle between strategy and chance. Players must carefully time their batting motion to send the ball soaring into the bleachers, earning points along the way. The sound effects of a bell and wooden chime box add to the immersive experience, transporting players to the excitement of a live baseball game.

The machine's design and art are characteristic of its era, with clean lines and minimal color scheme giving it an understated charm. No information is available on the designer or any notable artists involved in creating this pinball classic. It was also available in a regular version without the match feature, and remains a prized find among serious collectors and pinball enthusiasts due to its historical significance and distinctive gameplay.
