Super Score
About This Machine
Super Score, designed by Ed Krynski with art by Art Stenholm, was manufactured by Gottlieb in 1967 as part of the company's sports-themed lineup. This two-player EM game uses four flippers to give players added control over the ball's movement, alongside stand-up targets that add a fresh challenge to the layout.
The machine boasts an impressive array of features, including four pop bumpers, one passive bumper, two kick-out holes, and a captive ball spinner. The roll-under mechanism adds an extra layer of strategy, as players must carefully time their shots to navigate the ball through narrow channels. With a maximum displayable score of 9,999 points per player, the Super Score rewards skill and consistency. A four-player version of this game was released as Gottlieb's 'Hi-Score.'
The art and design of the Super Score reflect the classic aesthetic of 1960s pinball machines, with bold colors and a striking layout that showcases the game's sports theme. With 2,925 confirmed units produced, the Super Score offers pinball enthusiasts a glimpse into Gottlieb's electromechanical era.
